Beneficial Ways To Use Jasmine Essential Oils
Jasmine Essential Oil is an: antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, antispasmodic, expectorant, and sedative among other things.
Did you know that Jasmine oil can be mixed with a carrier oil and applied to the abdominal area to help keep the symptoms of PMS under control? A carrier oil is a base oil added to any essential oil to dilute that oil. Essential oils are very strong and should only be used undiluted on the bottom of your feet so as not to burn the skin.
You can add a few drops of the oil to a bottle of your favorite conditioner for added moisturizing benefits to your hair.
Add a few drops to some coconut, sunflower, grapeseed oil etc. and smooth over dry areas on your face before apply your makeup for add moisturizing benefits. This is great for dry knees and elbows as well. (not recommended for those with oily skin.)
Helps to clear nasal congestion and clear the respiratory tract. It can be inhaled straight from the bottle or put a few drops on a handkerchief and breath in.
Mix with a carrier oil and add a small amount to your pulse points to help calm nerves and control stress.
It can be used as a sleep aid. Put some oils in a sachet or add a few drops to a cotton ball and put it by your bed so that you can breath in the aroma to help with a good nights sleep. If you put it on a cotton ball always be sure you put the cotton ball on a glass plate or something similar so as not to damage the furniture.
Essential oils should not be used neat (undiluted). Essential oils can take effect the quickest by putting the oil directly on the bottom of your feet. Oils go through the blood steam and get sent throughout the body faster this way. You can also add a few drops to a foot bath for silky smooth feet.
Place a drop of jasmine oils mixed with a carrier oil in your hands, rub hands together, hold over your mouth and nose and then inhale with a deep breath.
This essential oil effects the heart chakra and when used can give you the feeling of romance and love. It enhances the libido and increases sexual desire.
